The Paradox of Grief

Have you wished you could talk about your losses and grief without feeling judged?
Are you tired of being tired and want to reclaim your life (and energy)?
Do you find yourself having brief moments of feeling “ok”, followed by guilt… and wonder if that’s normal?
The truth is loss and grief are complicated,
and moving through them can feel like a paradox at times.
paradox (noun): a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition proven to be well-founded or true
You feel good one day, then sad and tearful the next.
You feel angry about death, yet also relieved.
You feel sad, but are ready to move on with your life.
You know you should cry and feel sad, but you can’t seem to feel it…
It can make you question whether you’re grieving right — or even if something is wrong with you.
I’m here to tell you there’s nothing wrong with you. Grief is a normal human feeling… but it’s expressed in many (vastly) different ways.
Grief is fickle. It can pop up out of the blue.
It can be confusing — leaving us scrambling to make sense of our feelings about people and situations.
And because society doesn’t always recognize, relate to, or understand all of our losses, it can be really hard to open up about them — let alone have the kind of deep conversations we often need to be able to move forward.
That’s exactly why I’m hosting a free event to help people explore the many types of loss and grief — and how they influence our lives.
This event will open up the doors to these healing conversations.
🔸First, we’ll talk about losses related to death, the secondary losses that come with death, and other circumstances.
🔸Next, we’ll address the loss and grief we feel even when someone is still alive and the paradox of feelings.
🔸Finally, we’ll talk about some grief myths (like there being some magical timeframe where you’re suddenly “over it”)
